Izzy is an illustrator and maker hailing from the rural Welsh Countryside in Powys. Since progressing on from her Bachelor of Arts (hons) in Illustration, she has completed her Masters of Illustration graduating with a Distinction.

Her practice is driven by contemporary research in the field of critical plant studies with a particular focus on mycorrhizal relationships between plant roots and fungi, this touches on theories such as the wood wide web and the the ecology of intelligence. Izzy draws on her illustrative background to create abstract narrative driven sculptures and forms that show the complex relationships between plants and fungi with the aim to expand the definitions of intelligence and evoke feelings of interconnectedness with the natural world.
